Urgent and Emergency Care Centre
All urgent and emergency care is now provided from Rotherham's new purpose built Urgent and Emergency Care Centre which is located on B Level of Rotherham Hospital
The centre will treat anyone with an urgent or emergency care need.
An urgent care need is something which needs immediate care but isn't life or limb threatening such as broken bones, burns and scalds, wounds and minor illnesses including fever, infections and rashes.
An emergency care need is something which is life or limb threatening. This can include things like choking, severe bleeding, chest pains and blacking out.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
